A gentleman by the name of Freddie Wong has created his own real life first person shooter video game. The graphics will not get any better than this. This will make you feel safer while flying. TSA in Houston, TX at Bush International Airport missed a loaded gun located in a man’s computer case. Not sure how it happened, but the man realized their mistake when he landed and alerted authorities. He forgot that the firearm was in his computer case. Since laptops need to be taken out of cases and scanned separately, this one is a mystery.
Running over a snowman results in a forced resignation if you’re a bus driver for the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit. From the video below, which was filmed on the University of Illinois campus, shows a car being cautious when passing a snowman in the street. However, a Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit bus crosses into the wrong side of the road to plow the shit out of that snowman. A Facebook Page named Save the Driver exists to rally support for the CUMTD driver.

This video might make football teams rethink the way they cover football fields. The Metrodome in Minneapolis, home of the Minnesota Vikings, had its roof crumble due to two feet of heavy snow that accumulated throughout a bad blizzard. The NFL has moved the Vikings’ next game against the New York Giants to Detroit’s Ford Field. In the video, you can see the snow just overpower the roof and it tears right through the Teflon-coated fiberglass.
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) recently created their own version of the popular PDF file that is non-printable. WWF hopes this “new green file-format” will gain traction and reduce the amount of paper printed. If you use a Mac, there’s free software you can download in order to create WWF files. Windows users will need to wait a bit longer. As for simply reading WWF files, most programs that open PDFs can open WWF files.

No arrests were made after Team Black Sheep flew a remote control airplane in New York City, capturing landmarks like the Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty like never before (from an amateur point of view, anyway). It’s hard to believe the New York City Police and the TSA did not cause trouble for Team Black Sheep, but they insist no arrests were made. The footage was shot between 7:00AM and 8:00AM to avoid air traffic.
There’s been more product format wars than I had realized. TopTenz details 10 Format Wars over the past decades. Overall, I’ve been pretty lucky in format wars.When I was younger, I used cassette tapes but never so many that I got left behind when CDs came out.
