Here’s one I saw on Twitter user @lokay’s feed. Looks like someone at the MBTA Transit Police was a little too fired up for the New England Patriots game, sending a public message rather than a Twitter direct message. Dude, use texting or personal email!
A powerful assault rifle was without supervision on the back of a Seattle police car. The Seattle Police Department says they’re very embarrassed. This got attention online after a citizen named Nick Gonzales posted a photo he took on the web. After taking the photo, he flagged down two bike cops to tell them about it and they were “shocked as hell”.
Hidden is an application for Macs that allows you to see where you mac is located if it gets stolen. If thats not enough, the program will send you screenshots of what the thief is doing along with photographs of them using the Mac’s built in camera.
Assholes and pepper spray came together at the Towne East Mall in Mesquite, TX in the early morning hours. Crowds were waiting for 6:00AM for the new Air Jordan 11 Retro Sneakers. Many people had waited since Wednesday evening and were not happy when people from the back of the line tried to rush to the front at 4:30AM. Police had to use pepper spray on the crowd to regain control.
Oh shit! A cop walks into a Walgreens while it’s being robbed and steps in. As the officer holds his gun right to the robber’s head, the robber still tries to squirm away. There’s no sound in the video, but his body language seems to say “I’m not doing anything wrong!”
Finally, a video where you root for the police. Thief is a scumbag. Walgreens employees shouldn’t have to deal with this shit.
Really sad story out of Oakland, CA finally has a little bit of closure.
In the early AM of New Year’s Day in 2009, BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) cops responded to a report of a fight occurring on a BART train that was coming into Oakland from San Francisco. At the Fruitvale stop, BART cops pulled a number of people off the train, including Oscar Grant, a 22 year old man from Hayward, CA. While Grant was being detained, he was shot in the back by BART officer Johannes Mehserle, who mistakenly shot his firearm instead of his taser.
A Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy in the Seattle area is accused of having sex while on duty…and leaving his two-way radio on during the act. He’s an unidentified 45 year old dude who has been on the job for 20 years. This can’t be the first time he’s done this. The story was released by KING5 and you can hear a little audio of the coitus below. Dispatch was speaking to another officer when sexy-officer keyed in by accident. After some female moaning, the dispatch asked the dude to check his mic.
Around 100 Toronto police offers who worked the G-20 Summit could have one day of pay docked as they did not wear proper identification name badges. Bill Blair is Toronto’s police chief who was grilled for two hours in front the Commons committee. He is unsure of the proper punishment for his offers but suggests one day of docked pay. After lots of complaints by protestors and media photography backing their claims up, Blair admitted to the committee that name tags could have come of during scuffles but most officers in question were likely trying to hide their identities. It took 22,000 hours of investigation into the matter to identify the 100 or so officers. They relied heavily on video evidence.
It’s since been taken down, but for a while, the Miami Police Department used a photo of Jay-Z on their homepage brand tile that calls for citizens to report gang activity. It’s totally apparent that their Photoshop guru reflected one photo of Jay-Z in New York Jets gear, and simply left him the way he was in the other. Then they added some cartoon-like effect on the photos as if no one on the internet would notice. Check out the before and after Miami Jay-Z photos.
Poor Jay-Z. Gets no respect from the Miami Police as an entertainer and businessman.
