A big “what the fuck?” is in order to the policy-makers over at H&M clothing store for this recent story reported by the New York Times. Apparently, finding trash bags full of unwanted clothing is common behind H&M, but more often than not, the pieces of clothing are slashed with razor blades to ensure no one (we can just go ahead and say the poor here) will wear them. I guess the thought process must be: “well, we can;t have the homeless wearing the season’s most recent fashion crazes around!” The Times interviewed a couple people rummaging the garbage and this not uncommon among retail stores.

While the marketing and PR departments at AT&T churn out new TV advertisements featuring Luke Wilson, their online purchasing of iPhones to New York City residents stopped for a period of time. AT&T has since resumed sales of the phone New York City residents, but have not given an official reason for the stoppage. Wired‘s article via Consumerist’s indicates that it could be related to AT&T’s effort to reducing data-hogging. “…the company is […] working on getting the data hogs to cut down their usage,” says Ralph de la Vega, AT&T’s mobile boss. Another theory relates to credit card fraud possibly occurring in the area.

Best Buy misprinted a price in a big way via their website. Try a Samsung 52″ HDTV listed for $9.99 (regularly priced $1,699.99). Who wouldn’t like that $1,690 savings?
Crowds gathered outside an Alexandra, VA Best Buy prior to opening to claim their TVs and were angered when Best Buy representatives informed them other wise.

So you could image the difference between the two bands listed to the right. One ‘Teen Idols’ band plays 90s punk rock and the other is a collection of ‘Teen Idols’ from decades ago who play heart-felt pop music. So when Chris from Minnesota tried to purchase tickets from Ticketmaster for the Grand Casino show, he was sent the tickets for the heartthrob show instead. Bummer.
